I'm Yin-Juei (pronounced "Ing Ray") --- an innovative mixed-methods Research Expert with 15+ years of experience translating complex data into actionable insights across sectors, including technology, retail, and health. Proven track record of driving cost savings as well as defining 0→1 product strategies and success metrics. Specializes in balancing rigor with agility to drive confident decision-making, defining user metrics, and aligning cross-functional teams. Since I obtained the certificate on Mediation and Conflict Management from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, I blend research practices and mediation skills to influence leaders make successful and confident decisions rooted in data. 

As a scientist and a dancer, I use movement-based interpersonal activities to cultivate understanding and foster collaborative relationships as people navigate conflicts.

Teladoc Health

Led a UXR team and research vendors, defining research roadmaps for a portfolio of products for customer service and clinical users in partnership with Legal, Product, Content, Design, and Operations. 

Developed North Star experience principles and user metrics for clinical tooling, guiding vendor evaluation, product experience design, impacting the product experiences of 8,000+ users.

Launched Teladoc’s first UX Observation Program and Clinical Advisory Council, enabling workflow gap identification and sustained access to hard-to-reach clinical users for research and product iteration.

Accelerated UXR efficiency by 30% through implementing new templates and prioritization processes in a complex, high-demand product space (1:9 UXR:PM ratio).

Led evaluative research on a voice solution for a patient-facing hospital robot, informing design changes.

Led multiple research initiatives using various methodologies for Fortune 10 clients (e.g., Google, Amazon).

Defined 0→1 product strategies by triangulating data from interviews, surveys, and literature reviews for Vivibot, an award-winning chatbot, for teens and young adults impacted by cancer.

Scaled the Goal Mama app from 5 to 275 sites by leading a national survey for a longitudinal study, informing product roadmap shifts and impacting 8,000+ young mom users.

Designed and built an automated mobile survey using Qualtrics, achieving a 70+% completion rate across four survey touchpoints with 300 participants.

Led user and market research for a touchscreen display, aligning across Product, Design, Engineering and Sales, uncovering key challenges that empowered the Managing Director to finalize product decisions.

PROJECT LEAD | Ph.D. RESEARCHER

Infant Cognition Laboratory, Northwestern University

Managed a team of 7 (40+ total), leading research on cognitive development with 400+ participants. 

Designed, created, and tested the prototypes of 3D experimental stimuli that led to successful data collection.

Co-programmed with a software engineer to build a new coding software (Chang & Wang, 2014) that improved data collection experience by removing user pain points.
